A Great Day in Harlem

The thing I loved most about this movie is the stories that the people told. They not only talked about the day the photo was taken but also stories from different times and places that they had experienced with each other. I also loved the music used in the film because it added to the photo.

Zutty Singleton was one of my favorite drummers out of the group, he has such a skill at handling them that it looks like he could drum in his sleep.
Dizzy Gillespie is one of my favorite trumpet players in this photo, although he plays piano as well.
Another drummer I was impressed by was Art Blakey who, like Zutty had awesome skill.
Miff Mole, is considered one of the best trombonist in jazz and its probably true because of his smooth style.
Mary Lou Williams is excellent piano player who many other jazz musicians were fond of, for good reason too.
