Vaughn telling us about the dark room.
When I walked into the Exhibit the first thing that caught my eye was Barbara Frey's "Dark Matter #2" made from porcelain, slip, and glazes.
I love how dark and mechanical it looks while still having a sense of nature. (Made in 2013)
The second piece that I noticed was Gerard Huber's "Reflections 1" made with acrylic on panel.
I have always loved Huber's work because he has a great eye for detail. (Made in 2013)
Pati Dye has a very interesting work that I thought needed recognition (also I love sculpture). Dye's "My Mother's Garden" made with glass, wood, upholstery, wax, and aged wool batting made a lot of people confused about what she was trying to say, I think they might have taken her materials to seriously.
When I see this work I don't see string and wool, I see roots and earth. (made in 2013)
The last work's I want to show are Casey McGarr's (from right to left) "Side Show" (Wood type print), "Ron Paul" (Wood type, Linoleum print), "Type Man" (Wood type print), and "Tambourines" (Wood and metal type, Linoleum print)
They remind me of the war type posters from World War II. (Made in 2012)
There were many more works that could have been mentioned, it was a great exhibit that shows the students what their teachers can do outside of class.
Also, because Vaughn said he hated cat pictures, here's a picture of a cat.
I love your cat picture and your comments on the art was right one girlie
